Samantha Capaldi

Samantha is a Phoenix-based sommelier, influencer, TV personality and online wine and social media consultant, who loves bubbles so much she decided to make her own. “When in doubt, bubbles” is the first offering from her newest venture, Faff Wine Co. Faff is a British word that means ‘to make a fuss over nothing’. It is a fitting name because Samantha has made it her mission to do just the opposite, make wine fun and approachable for any level of wine enthusiast – wine without the fuss!

Samantha found her wine passion early, launching her popular wine tasting business, Samantha Sommelier, at the age of 23. She offers in-home wine tastings to private clients, as well as virtual tastings world-wide, and an online wine club community of over 300 members from around the globe.

What does sparkling wine symbolize for you?

As most who love and value sparkling wine, we agree that it is a style of wine that should not be kept aside only for special occasions. Sparkling wine ultimately symbolizes a sense of community. When has anyone handed you a glass of beautiful effervescent bubbles and it didn't make you happy?! Yes, sparkling wine is a symbol of celebration, but above all it's a symbol of a sense of community. To feel loved, seen, and supported. I hope anytime someone drinks my wine they feel that way.

What sparkling wines are you loving right now?

If I am being biased, I am of course loving my wine, “When in doubt, bubbles”! It's a sparkling brut rosé made in the traditional method! Other bubbles I am loving are Dot Wines, Sparkling Brut. I am a big fan of bubbles that are of moderate acidity, don't necessarily need food to compliment, but still pack a bunch with flavor!
